About the position

The Service Tech Trainee position at SPATCO Energy Solutions is an entry-level role designed to provide comprehensive training in the maintenance and troubleshooting of fueling and charging equipment. The position offers on-the-job training, allowing individuals to gain the necessary skills to advance their careers in the energy solutions industry. Trainees will be involved in service calls at various customer locations, ensuring environmental compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for customers at various locations including retail gas stations, commercial sites, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate effectively with service dispatchers and managers.
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and POS systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide necessary repairs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid State Issued Driver's License with a good driving record
• Mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Willingness to pass a drug screen and background check
