About the position

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician/Lube Technician to join our team in Hayes, VA. The role involves performing various automotive maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring high productivity and effective communication with customers and team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive services and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as requested on the repair order
• Perform oil and filter changes
• Perform alignments
• Replace windshield wiper blades
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs as needed
• Check all fluids and top off as needed
• Mount and balance tires
• Inspect front suspension components
• Repair tires using tire plugs as needed
• Familiarity with tire pressure monitoring systems and able to replace and relearn TPMS Sensors as needed
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Check tire pressure and adjust to the correct pressure for the vehicle
• Perform tire rotations
• Check battery health and replace battery if needed
• Inspect vehicles for oil leaks
• Document all work performed on the work order
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• 3 years previous automotive maintenance and repair experience
• Formal automotive training preferred
• Virginia state Inspector preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation
• Must have own set of tools
• Ability to lift objects that weigh as much as 50lbs
• Hold a valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management
