The Service Technician role at Irvine Company involves performing general maintenance tasks across various apartment communities, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The technician will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, while also maintaining safety standards and inventory management. This position requires flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed, and it emphasizes proactive customer interactions and teamwork in larger communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high level of skill in all phases of general maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
• Promote positive customer interactions to enhance the Irvine Company experience.
• Complete service requests, unit turns, and preventative maintenance work throughout the community.
• Maintain community common areas and grounds according to company standards; conduct inspections and resolve hazards.
• Ensure completion of safety training and actively investigate and mitigate risks.
• Manage inventory of parts and appliances; maintain orderliness of facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on required systems and equipment.
• Complete porter functions as necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of general maintenance experience; expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair preferred.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
