About the position
The Service Technician role at Ferrellgas involves installing, repairing, and maintaining propane equipment for customers, with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service. This full-time position allows technicians to work local routes, ensuring they are home every night, while also requiring participation in on-call rotations for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains propane equipment for retail customers.
- Provides emergency response and system installation and testing.
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.
- Interacts with customers to provide exceptional service, safety information, and answers to inquiries.
- May work on propane appliances and assist with deliveries based on customer demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 or more years of related experience.
- Good driving record.
- Commercial driver's license Class B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service within the propane or related industry.
