About the position

The Service Technician at Restaurant Technologies is essential for the installation and servicing of advanced equipment in the food service industry. This role involves installing core products for new customers, providing customer training, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance for existing customers. The technician is expected to meet operational goals while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Meet and control operational goals and timelines, including service labor per hour and first-time right standards.
  • Comply with internal processes and procedures as well as local and federally regulated requirements including DOT, OSHA, and HACCP.
  • Maintain proper parts and supply levels in company service vehicles and adhere to paperwork standards.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets their expectations.
  • Efficiently service customer needs, providing training and coaching on the system as needed.
  • Utilize iPhone apps for various functions in the role, including parts management and customer notes.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills for customer issues related to installation and service.
  • Basic mechanical and/or electrical skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to handle challenging customer situations positively.
  • Must meet Restaurant Technologies' Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to carry 50 pounds by hand.
  • Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn, and reach out.
  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet.
