About the position

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our apartment homes and property facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs, which include preparing apartments for new residents, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, as well as electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures. Additionally, you will handle plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs. Following a planned preventative maintenance schedule is essential, and you will also be expected to follow up with residents after repairs are completed to ensure their satisfaction. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in multifamily property management or facility maintenance, with a minimum of one to three years of relevant experience. HVAC experience is a requirement, and you must possess or be willing to obtain your EPA Type II or Universal certification within 90 days of your start date. A valid driver's license from your state of residence is also necessary. Requirements
