About the position

The Service Technician role at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is crucial for providing high-quality service to customers in various industries. This position involves performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing air compressors and related equipment. The technician will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met while promoting safety and efficiency. The role includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule and requires travel to customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive service and troubleshoot air compressors and air dryers.
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
  • Absorb knowledge of VSD's, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
  • Pressure wash and clean the customer's equipment pad including skids, coolers, and tanks.
  • Communicate with customers and the Service Manager regarding services performed and present options for repairs or upgrades.
  • Complete all service-related documentation including service reports and warranty forms.
  • Attend training at the Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Provide high-level customer service and respond to customer needs.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with travel to customer locations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical fields.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
  • Ability to use computers for work orders and ordering parts.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; certifications like EPA Certified are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and fluency in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
