About the position

Westminster is seeking dedicated Service Technicians to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining our properties and ensuring a high-quality living experience for our residents. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks that contribute to the overall satisfaction of our residents and the upkeep of our properties. In this role, you will utilize your keen eye for detail and passion for property management to anticipate the needs of our residents. Your responsibilities will include performing electrical and plumbing maintenance, such as repairing wall switches, outlets, and minor appliances, as well as addressing leaks in drains and faucets. You will also engage in painting, carpentry, HVAC, and masonry work to replace or repair fixtures, ensuring that all maintenance service requests are completed efficiently. Additionally, you will be involved in the make-ready processing of vacant apartments and grounds work, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our properties. Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and plumbing maintenance, including repairs to wall switches, outlets, and minor appliances.
  • Conduct painting, carpentry, HVAC, and masonry work to replace or repair fixtures.
  • Complete all maintenance service requests in a timely manner.
  • Process make-ready tasks for vacant apartments.
  • Engage in grounds work to maintain the property.
  • Utilize appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools for various maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in property maintenance or related trade.
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of general maintenance equipment, including hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to walk up 3 flights of stairs multiple times a day and complete 5,000 steps/day.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based PCs and experience with Apple iOS devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in landscaping and pool maintenance.
  • Familiarity with safety equipment and protocols.
