About the position

The Service Technician position at DeHart Recycling Equipment, Inc. involves diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment, including conveyors and balers. Technicians will perform service activities at customer sites and may need to travel for overnight assignments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics, and light welding.
• Perform service activities at customer sites, establishing and maintaining positive customer experiences.
• Travel to and from headquarters located in Hazelwood, MO to customer sites to perform service activities.
• Manage some overnight travel with out-of-pocket expenses paid.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery including balers, shredders, and conveyors.
• Ability to comprehend operation manuals, basic designs, electrical wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of programmable logic controllers, especially Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, and CompactLogix is desired.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well unsupervised.
