About the position

The Service Technician for Wellhead Wireline/Flowline Equipment at NOV Inc. is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and testing of NOV WFL Brand products. This role involves working in the NOV Service Facility, ensuring that all equipment functions to specification, and adhering to quality assurance procedures. The technician will also engage in training and support documentation processes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, repair, test, install and maintain NOV WFL Brand products at NOV Service Facility(s).
  • Communicate product failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide supporting documentation per NOV WFL procedures.
  • Complete and submit work pack documentation in a timely manner.
  • Service and repair of customer property items relating to Elmar, Anson, and Axelson brand product lines.
  • Diagnose cause of equipment malfunction through observations and testing based on related schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Pressure test and function test repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilizing safe work habits.
  • Engage in additional job activities as requested by the District/Branch or Service Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 or more years' experience with Wireline WPCE, Flowline, Surface Safety Valves.
  • Experience with the service, repair, and maintenance of wellhead pressure control equipment.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of rig and completion well site operations.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic background.
