About the position

Plummer's Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their team. This role is essential for the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline engines, as well as specialty equipment. The technician will work in a relaxed shop environment focused on safety and teamwork, contributing to the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and community health.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment/engines using company supplied service tools.
• Perform engine, mechanical, electrical, A/C, and hydraulic work on equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed.
• Communicate detailed results of diagnoses and parts lists to the service coordinator.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and work bays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years of heavy-duty truck experience.
• MI State Mechanic certificate.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience using CAT-ET, Cummins insite or similar diagnostic tool (preferred).
• Automotive repair experience (preferred).
• MIG or TIG welding experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or vocational college degree in heavy duty diesel repair or welding technology (preferred).

Nice-to-haves
