About the position

The Service Technician position at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems involves providing service and maintenance for automatic, manual, and revolver doors. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of entrance automation solutions, and it offers opportunities for professional growth within a dedicated team. The technician will interface with customers and contractors, maintain inventory, and ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service on automatic, manual, and revolver doors.
  • Maintain proper truck stock and inventory.
  • Maintain the company vehicle.
  • Accurately detail job numbers and travel time on time sheets.
  • Label equipment and complete door assignments in a timely manner.
  • Interface with customers, end-users, and general contractors in a professional manner.
  • Participate in training programs and remain AAADM certified.
  • Wear and maintain Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and work safely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • AAADM certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the Automatic Door industry or relevant experience.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and work on knees for extended periods.
  • Good mechanical ability to repair electro-mechanical devices and understand basic electrical circuits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with storefront, glazing, doors, aluminum frames, electrical systems, glass, automatic doors, and hardware.
  • Background as an auto mechanic or appliance repair technician.
