About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team at J & K Automotive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air conditioning and ammonia refrigeration systems, with the ability to perform equipment repairs and property maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on air conditioning and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnosing electrical issues and ensuring proper functionality of equipment.
• Conduct property maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs of various systems within the facility.
• Design and build custom solutions for unique equipment challenges as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their service needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, ammonia refrigeration, and general equipment repair techniques.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Experience in property maintenance is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
