About The Position
Hocon Gas Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team in Waterbury, CT. As Connecticut's oldest family-owned propane delivery company, we have been committed to providing reliable propane and fuel oil services for over sixty years. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25 to $32, depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical service background, particularly in the fields of Propane Gas, Natural Gas, Oil Heat, Gas Plumbing, Gas Appliance Repair, or HVAC. In this role, you will be responsible for installing propane tanks and gas lines, as well as pressure testing gas service lines to ensure compliance with all state and local installation and permit requirements. You will also be tasked with repairing and maintaining propane appliances, providing exceptional service to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Additionally, you will convert gas appliances, examine regulators, gas lines, and appliance connections for potential defects or gas leaks, and inspect your vehicle daily, reporting any issues in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
