About the position

The Service Technician is responsible for providing daily service and support to customers, both internal and external. This role involves inspecting and maintaining various technology systems installed at customer facilities, including access control, audio/visual systems, fire alarms, nurse call systems, sound systems, and video surveillance. As the front-line support of the business, the Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and system functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Researches, troubleshoots and problem solves issues that arise
  • Inspects devices and provides quality reports on the functionality of customer systems
  • Recommends preventative maintenance on systems
  • Communicates (written and verbal) effectively to internal and external customers
  • Acts as a point of escalation for difficult customer cases and de-escalates situations as needed
  • Interacts professionally and tactfully with others on job-sites
  • Networks and sets up remote support
  • Provides on-site client training as required
  • Prioritizes tasks
  • Performs work in adherence to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures; promptly reports unsafe work conditions to supervisor
  • Cultivates positive working relationships within and across departments
  • Engages in behaviors that foster a healthy work environment and company culture
  • Adheres to company-issued policies, procedures, core values, and behavioral standards
  • Presents self in a professional manner and appropriately represents the Company image

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Electronics preferred
  • Valid State Driver's license
  • Willingness to travel overnights as needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work weekends when necessary
  • End-User Training Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years technical experience
  • Nebraska State Fire Alarm Inspector License (possess or obtain within 6 months)
