About the position

The Automatic Door Service Technician position at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems involves servicing and installing automatic, manual, and revolver doors. This role is essential for maintaining efficient flow in pedestrian and industrial environments, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service. Technicians will work closely with customers and contractors, requiring strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and installation of automatic, manual, and revolver doors.
• Maintain proper truck stock and inventory.
• Accurately detail job numbers and travel time on time sheets.
• Label equipment and complete door assignments in a timely manner.
• Interface with customers, end-users, and general contractors in a professional manner.
• Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
• Wear and maintain Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and work safely.

Requirements

• AAADM certification preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in the Automatic Door industry or relevant experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and climbing ladders.
• Good mechanical ability to repair electro-mechanical devices and understand basic electrical circuits.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in storefront, glazing, doors, aluminum frames, electrical, glass, and hardware.
