About the position
The Technician - Service 1 is an entry-level position responsible for performing mechanical service on various vending and fountain equipment. This role involves customer interaction, inventory control, and maintaining company vehicles, while ensuring compliance with safety policies and maintaining a professional appearance.
Responsibilities
- Performing mechanical service on cold drink equipment
- Installing mechanical components
- Interacting with customers
- Managing inventory control
- Using Microsoft Office and Mobilizer
- Maintaining the company vehicle
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Valid driver's license and compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- High school diploma or GED; or 0 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
- Ability to analyze and problem solve to respond and resolve customer issues
- Customer service orientation
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Cold Drink Equipment or appliance repair
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and repair manuals
- Refrigeration Certification Type 1
- Knowledge of Basic Electrical Theory and practical applications
