About the position

Resource Power Group (RPG) is the trade name for Louisiana Machinery Company LLC's large, medium speed engine business. The company was established in 1933 and is a privately-owned business approaching $1 Billion in annual revenues. Our team focuses on providing service for Power, Marine and Industrial. We are searching for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN to join our growing operations at our Harvey, Louisiana location.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, disassemble, assemble, install, and repair RPG engine components
• Prepare company and customer inspection appraisals reports and order replacement parts
• Prepare, inspect, operate on engines to meet customer expectations
• Provide excellent mechanical troubleshooting & diagnostic assessments to help deliver best-in-class gas engine service repairs for our customers
• Analyze, troubleshoot, test and verify adjustments of marine engine & generator components to determine reusability in accordance to RPG guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Technical training of marine engines
• Valid U.S. Driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record; Transportation Worker ID Card (TWIC) preferred. Water Survival Training preferred.
• Strong customer service skills, mechanical aptitude, professional demeanor and always 'safety-first' mentality every hour of every day

• Prior experience with EMD engines
