About the position

Myan Management Group, LLC. in Southlake, TX is actively seeking a full-time Service Technician to keep our apartments in working condition, provide customer service, and assist the maintenance supervisor in the operations of the maintenance department. This position is crucial for maintaining the property in an attractive, safe, and quality condition. The Service Technician will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The role requires a commitment to quality work and a motivation to continually improve skills. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the property, buildings, and equipment to ensure they are in an attractive, clean, and safe condition at all times, in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will assist in organizing, prioritizing, and completing unit make-readies, service requests, and general maintenance tasks according to company standards in a timely manner. Your maintenance responsibilities will include replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors, repairing or replacing plumbing and fixtures, replacing broken windowpanes and screens, rekeying locks, repairing and replacing appliance parts, and performing general repairs such as painting, groundskeeping, and trash removal. Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to report safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor and correct them promptly. This position typically requires working 40 hours or more per week, and you will be on-call for emergencies seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the property in an attractive, safe, and quality condition.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the operations of the maintenance department.
  • Inspect and maintain the property, buildings, and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Organize, prioritize, and complete unit make-readies, service requests, and general maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Replace electrical switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Repair or replace plumbing and fixtures.
  • Replace broken windowpanes and screens.
  • Rekey locks and repair or replace appliance parts.
  • Repair walls, woodwork, and doors, including painting.
  • Perform groundskeeping and trash removal duties.
  • Report safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor and correct them promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintenance experience in property management.
  • Ability to be available 'on-call' 24 hours, seven days per week.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Drug-free.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
