About the position

The Service Technician at Global Machinery is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction, forestry, and utility equipment. This role involves direct customer interaction, ensuring service quality, and managing parts orders to facilitate timely repairs. The technician must adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul construction, forestry, and utility equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery.
• Interact with customers to address service problems and provide written service reports.
• Order parts from the parts department to complete repairs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects and ensure efficiency.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify issues.
• Use test equipment to diagnose equipment systems.
• Read and understand service manuals and schematics.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience as a Service Technician.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Knowledgeable in computer applications and industry-specific software.
