About the position
The Service Worker - Dietary at Jackson Purchase Medical Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Dietary Department by performing various preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions. This position is essential for ensuring that food and beverages are prepared and delivered efficiently to patients, guests, and service areas, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas, and catering services.
- Store food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and procedures.
- Assist with customer-facing duties as assigned, including tray delivery and catering special events.
- Assist with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Requirements
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
