About the position

Southeast Transport & Fleet Service is seeking a Full-Time Parts Clerk/Service Advisor to manage administrative and customer support functions within the service department at their East Point location. The role involves maintaining parts inventory, processing repair orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service management.

Responsibilities

• Open repair orders, listing all reported vehicle defects.
• Process, review, and close repair orders; ensuring parts have been charged out and labor has been properly applied.
• Process purchase orders, order parts for stock and individual repair orders, and receive and stock parts as necessary.
• Schedule maintenance for customers and handle service calls.
• Conduct frequent physical inventory and revise stock levels based on demand analysis.
• Purchase from directed vendors and verify pricing on received invoices.
• Manage cores and warranty parts ensuring prompt returns and credits.
• Meet stock level objectives and manage unused inventory levels.
• Monitor special order items and provide updates to customers on repair status.
• Check in trucks and document prior damage.

Requirements

• 2 - 3 years' experience in the trucking and/or automotive industry.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Good customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Good command of the English language and telephone etiquette.
• Computer literate with intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
