About the position

The Service Writer/Customer Service position at Wadhams Equipment involves engaging with customers in a fast-paced environment, converting their concerns into actionable work orders, and assisting in managing customer expectations. Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, in-person, and email to understand their concerns.
  • Convert customer concerns into work orders for dispatch to delivery drivers or mechanics.
  • Assist the service manager and shop foreman in managing customer expectations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional level of communication in all situations.
  • Multi-task effectively while dealing with customers and other staff members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience with MS Excel or Google Sheets and proficiency in navigating Windows-based programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills are essential.
  • Positive attitude and ability to accept feedback.
  • Reliability and possession of a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dealership service writing experience (preferred but not required).
