About the position

Join Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems as a Service Writer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. As the first point of contact for all truck service needs, you will be responsible for handling customer interactions with professionalism and care. Your role will involve documenting customer complaints, communicating service quotes, and providing updates on job statuses to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will work closely with the Service Manager to schedule diagnostics, identify additional repairs, and validate completed work, ensuring that all service operations run smoothly. In addition to customer service, you will manage various administrative duties, including maintaining customer records, creating and writing up service quotes, opening and closing work orders, ordering parts, scheduling technicians, and handling warranty claims. Your organizational skills will be essential as you also answer phones, file documents, and monitor vehicle fleet maintenance. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all truck service needs.
  • Ensure every interaction is handled with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (2-4 years experience).
  • Schedule management experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED (mechanical experience is a plus but not required).
