About the position

Koniag Management Services, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Scrum Master/Business Analyst (BA) to support our government customer. This position is primarily remote but may require occasional on-site presence in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a Secret Clearance and will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the implementation of ServiceNow Agile projects. The Scrum Master/BA will work closely with the Department of State, ensuring that customer requirements are met and that the project backlog is prioritized based on customer input. In this role, you will develop and coordinate project progress, monitor the creation and status of all related project artifacts, and establish appropriate system testing strategies. You will act as a liaison between the customer and the project team, facilitating communication and ensuring that the project team can adapt to changing business needs. Your responsibilities will also include advising specialists on technical issues, developing IT policies and procedures, and representing the project team to customers through briefings and demonstrations. The position requires a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including multiple modules and enterprise-level release practices. You will need to demonstrate leadership and team-building skills, as well as strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The work environment is professional, with a low to moderate noise level, and involves standard office equipment. The role may require occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs and the ability to sit for extended periods. Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and coordinate the implementation of ServiceNow Agile projects and identify customer's information system requirements.
  • Act as the Scrum Master and Business Analyst for the ServiceNow Platform team supporting the Department of State and help manage and prioritize the backlog based on customer input.
  • Develop and coordinate the project progress and monitor the creation and status of all related project artifacts.
  • Develop appropriate system testing strategies, plans or scenarios, and ensure these are executed by the team.
  • Identify requirements from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Develop and interpret IT policies, procedures and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services.
  • Advise other specialists on technical issues, diagnostic methods, and potential solutions to programs.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and the project team and facilitate communication between the customer and the project team throughout the project.
  • Establish and maintain a business relationship between the customer and developers, process specialists, and other subject matter experts.
  • Work with customers to identify their needs and ensure the project team can meet these needs as business needs change over time and between circumstances.
  • Represent the project team and product offerings to customers through coordinated briefings and demonstrations.
  • Work with the project team to ensure that the team's response to customer's requirements is appropriate.
  • Work as part of a multi-contractor team on client engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • Demonstrated accomplishment of ServiceNow assignments that required knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, multiple modules, Enterprise-level release practices, and development of scoped applications.
  • Demonstrated competency in leading Agile Scrum teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze several alternative approaches in the process of advising management and customers concerning aspects of system design and technical solutions.
  • Proficient knowledge in Information Technologies including enterprise architecture, software development, data and telecommunications, security best practices, cloud computing, and Operations and Maintenance processes.
  • Strong skills in leadership and teambuilding, decision making, reasoning, and problem solving.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Prior experience working with and developing applications in ServiceNow.
