About the position

The company has been a leader in clean energy production for over a decade and is currently expanding its capabilities to deliver low-carbon or no-carbon power to a broader audience. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the company's mission by performing activities related to the design, building, testing, implementation, and maintenance of IT services, portfolios, products, projects, and processes. Under the guidance of a Senior IT Services Analyst or Manager, the individual will engage in various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations. The primary duties include documenting and assisting in planning work activities related to IT service portfolios or products that support business partners. The role also involves managing service level agreements, maintaining engagement with both business and IT partners, and assisting less experienced personnel. A proactive approach to building business and IT knowledge is essential for providing effective solutions. The individual will utilize best practices to enhance products and services while ensuring compliance with established standards as defined within the Management Model. This position requires a balance of independence and collaboration, working under general supervision while contributing to team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to IT service portfolios or products in support of our business partners.
  • Assist with IT activities required to manage service level agreements under the direction of a Sr. IT Services Analyst or Manager.
  • Maintain engagement with business and IT partners.
  • Assist less experienced personnel.
  • Proactively build business/IT knowledge to provide solutions.
  • Utilize best practices to improve products and services.
  • Apply and verify compliance to standards as defined within the Management Model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and typically 2 to 5 years related experience in Information Technology or 6 to 9 equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of utility business practices and processes.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools or other reporting technology a plus.
