About the position

The Services Principal Consultant at AVEVA plays a critical role in leading the development of solutions using AVEVA operations software, particularly focusing on Unified Operations Center (System Platform/OMI) and HMI SCADA implementations. This position requires a strong understanding of operations software integration and development, as well as the ability to deliver complete solutions that encompass IT-OT convergence and integration with multiple control systems. The consultant will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead engineer, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of solutions using AVEVA operations software.
• Implement HMI SCADA systems and ensure successful delivery of complete solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and lead engineer for operations software integration.
• Gain expert-level knowledge of AVEVA's product portfolio and provide software architecture consultancy.
• Identify business requirements and perform gap analysis to map them to core product capabilities.
• Participate in solution architecture review discussions for multi-practice solution implementation.
• Define deployment strategies within customer IT infrastructure and interface with third-party systems.
• Contribute to proposals, including documentation of solution design and project estimates.
• Present technical elements of proposals during bidding cycles.
• Perform technical scope of work as agreed in proposals and manage scope variations.
• Lead implementation teams and review technical project documentation deliverables.
• Report project progress to the AVEVA Project/Engineering Manager and highlight risks.
• Lead end-to-end testing and acceptance activities to ensure quality deliverables.
• Oversee the transition to support activities for delivered solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Systems/Control Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4-10 years of experience in AVEVA UOC, System Platform/OMI solution implementation.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale solutions in operations environments.
• Minimum of 4-10 years' experience in solution architecture and design in the Services organization or System Integrators.
• Substantial experience in the complete project lifecycle for medium-scale solution delivery projects.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and proficiency in written/spoken English.
• Ability to create high-quality documentation for proposals and projects.
• Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting to large audiences.
