About the position

This remote position is responsible for selling, promoting, and growing an industrial automation services portfolio, focusing on existing install base assets. The role involves developing sales opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and acting as a consultant for high-level customer contacts regarding their industrial automation needs. The ideal candidate will reside in the NY, NJ, PA, NH, or CT territory and will travel 3-5 days per week to meet with distributors and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales opportunities and pipeline in new and existing accounts
  • Identify and contact potential customers or prospects
  • Set goals and objectives, develop sales/business plans, and establish call plans and strategies
  • Apply market and account skills for dealing with high-level target customers
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Schneider Electric products and competitor strengths
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely communication and follow-up
  • Foster strong working relationships with Schneider Electric teams and external distribution personnel
  • Lead Schneider Electric US Services Sales in defined geographies and customer segments
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Schneider Services Offer for all internal and external customers

Requirements

  • 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years technical knowledge of VFD's, starters, and motor control centers
  • Technical knowledge on PLC, HMI, and software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric, ABB, Rockwell, and Siemens motor control equipment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to present technical solutions to end user customers
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and partners
  • Business and financial savvy with results-driven financial acumen
