About the position

The Servicing Quality Control Auditor at United Wholesale Mortgage is responsible for performing audits and reviewing results on loans currently serviced or sold by the company. This role involves analyzing loan boarding, payments, and compliance with various servicing requirements, including federal and state regulations. The auditor will also validate defect notifications and review calls from customer care and sub-servicer teams, requiring onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate identified errors and conditions from internal or external audits on all servicing-related issues.
• Assess defects for validity against Agency, Federal guidelines, and United Shore internal policies.
• Hold monthly and quarterly department meetings to discuss trends as necessary.
• Assist internal departments in identifying the root cause of errors.
• Effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal parties to resolve defects.
• Review external source audits to mitigate risk.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or greater.
• Mortgage experience.
• Strong knowledge of Federal and Agency (FNMA/FHLMC) servicing guidelines and procedures.
• 5 plus years' servicing experience or service/mortgage auditing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
