About the position

The Servicing Sales & Acquisitions Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the Servicing Sales and Acquisitions team. This role includes managing all servicing-related activities such as transfers, acquisitions, repurchases, and new loan boarding. The manager acts as the primary contact for cross-departmental operations, ensuring compliance and operational requirements are met within the specialized processes of Servicing Sales and Acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership of the Servicing Sales and Acquisitions team.
  • Manage all servicing-related transfer, acquisition, repurchase, and new loan boarding activities.
  • Act as the single point of contact for cross-departmental operations.
  • Ensure team members adhere to all governing servicing SLAs, regulations, and investor requirements.
  • Oversee proper management, budget, staffing, performance, and development of the team.
  • Hire, train, and coach staff as needed.
  • Establish, review, and maintain department standards; identify gaps and coordinate improvements.
  • Manage operations within appropriate risk tolerance, including settlement and loss authority limits.
  • Identify and communicate adverse issues, trends, or inefficiencies to senior management along with proposed solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training in Mortgage, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years in a management or leadership role of individual contributors.
  • Seven years of exposure to default, mortgage servicing, or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in an occasionally changing and low-paced environment.
  • Medium/High ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to lead and manage a small organization and direct non-income expense.
