About the position

The Servicing Support Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing various financial transactions related to mortgage servicing, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves collaboration with multiple internal departments to resolve servicing issues and requires strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Completes a daily review of assigned tasks and ensures completion within designated turnaround times.
  • Reviews requests related to missing payments and/or misapplied payments prior to submitting to the cashiering team.
  • Reviews payment refund requests before submitting to the cashiering team for reversal and disbursement.
  • Reviews late fee waiver requests prior to submission for removal of assessed fees.
  • Processes ACH (Auto Pay) enrollment, activation, changes, and cancellation requests.
  • Collaborates daily with multiple internal departments to resolve servicing issues related to financial transactions on loans.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related mortgage banking and/or financial experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong math skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior management and make impactful decisions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis.
  • Ability to compose letters and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of relevant industry-specific software packages preferred.
