About the position

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer/SETA to provide direct customer support on a critical development effort. This role will support many aspects of the project life cycle and perform a variety of tasks to include the review of vendor designs at all phases, such as design concepts, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and testing. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for identifying and managing system CONOPS and requirements based on Subject Matter Expert (SME) stakeholder inputs. This position requires effective communication of requirements to vendors and assessing designs against those requirements. The engineer will directly report to multiple customer stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and opportunities. Monitoring integrated project schedules is a key responsibility, as well as assisting in the development of project review briefings ahead of critical milestones for presentation at an executive level. The role demands timely and precise communication to customer and contractor stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration in the execution of the project. The ideal candidate will act as a self-starter who identifies problems and seeks out solutions without detailed guidance, and will represent the customer during the witnessing of key test events.
