About the position

The Production Setup Personnel role at Versa Pak involves setting up the production of poly film while ensuring quality and efficiency. This position requires adherence to company standards and policies, with a focus on teamwork, dependability, and personal improvement. The role operates on a rotating schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life experience with only 15 working days per month.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders according to Versa Pak's standards and customer specifications.
• Ensure the quality of the produced film meets company standards.
• Maintain the production line with minimal downtime and scrap generation.
• Respond quickly to any line downtime issues.
• Safely power up and down all machines and equipment.
• Motivate and direct the team for superior job performance.
• Adhere to food safety policies and procedures.
• Start up all elements of the production line from the extruder to the winder.
• Perform job setups and change-overs efficiently.
• Shut down machinery safely when required.
• Conduct inspections of equipment and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Perform physical testing of film properties to ensure compliance with standards.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and data entry in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Some mechanical aptitude is required.
• Basic mechanical training is necessary.
• Must be trainable and willing to learn.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs.
