The Setup Tech/Furnace Operator position on 3rd shift involves setting up and preparing machines for production, monitoring machinery operations, and ensuring safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare machines according to daily production schedules
• Monitor machinery during operation, adjusting settings as necessary
• Load and unload setups, breakdowns, and operating equipment
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and power tools when required
• Complete paperwork
• Follow all safety and housekeeping standards
• Coordinate with outside machine shops on any necessary fixtures and special machining
• Collaborate with manufacturers, internal department, and support staff to accomplish goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of work methods, practices, and procedures involved in furnace maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with operation of cranes, forklifts, and power tools a plus
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk throughout shift
