About The Position
The work involves responsibility for the performance of specialized manual work in a variety of tasks related to the cleaning and maintenance of sewer lines and mains. Under the supervision of a higher-level worker or a crew leader, an employee in this class performs semiskilled manual work requiring the use of a variety of sewer equipment and tools to clean and maintain sewer lines and mains. This is physically demanding work requiring knowledge of safety measures and physical strength and agility to work under adverse weather conditions. Performs related work as required.
