About the position

The SF Operational Risk - Risk Management - Senior Manager role at Fannie Mae involves leading a team to assess and identify potential risks that could impact the company's reputation, safety, security, and financial success. Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for determining business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement processes to identify risks.
• Manage team efforts to evaluate and report on the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
• Oversee information monitoring, processes, and reporting to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
• Document resolutions and control guidelines.
• Manage others to review and implement business strategies that drive success.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience managing teams and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Strong Modeling & Analytics, Mortgage Credit Risk Management, and/or secondary market experience.
• Experience working with process owners to manage operational risks effectively.
• Experience in risk assessment and management, including evaluating and designing controls.
• Demonstrated relationship management skills with stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively about existing and emerging risks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with organizational transformations and team development.
• Skilled in using Risk Works, InfoPath, SharePoint, Tableau, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and DocuSign.
