About the position

The SF Operational Risk - Risk Management - Senior Manager role is a leadership position focused on identifying and managing potential risks that could impact the enterprise's reputation, safety, security, and financial success. This role involves collaborating with leadership to develop strategic plans, leading a team to assess risks, and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for determining business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise and collaborate with leadership to develop and implement processes to identify risks.
  • Manage team efforts to evaluate and report on the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
  • Manage information monitoring, processes, and reporting to reduce risk using rigorous analysis, and assist with implementing updates and changes to the process.
  • Document resolutions and control guidelines.
  • Manage others to review and implement business strategies and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience managing people, fostering an inclusive and productive team environment, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong modeling and analytics skills, with experience in mortgage credit risk management and/or secondary market.
  • Experience working directly with process owners to manage operational risks effectively through risk identification and documentation.
  • Experience on a business team focused on building, executing, and maintaining a strong set of risks and controls to reduce process failure risk.
  • Risk assessment and management experience, including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, and developing risk mitigation activities.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including managing and engaging stakeholders and building relationship networks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively about existing and emerging risks.

  • Experience in analyzing data to identify trends or relationships.
