The engineer will utilize CAD software, specifically CATIA, to model parts and systems in 3D and release 2D drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Design drive shaft parts and systems to meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Apply fundamental engineering principles to complex design challenges.
  • Plan and coordinate activities with design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers.
  • Create schedules with milestones and trigger points, sharing them with related groups.
  • Attend and occasionally lead meetings, providing constructive feedback and tracking open items.
  • Review costs to ensure alignment with design intentions and propose solutions if necessary.
  • Model parts and systems in 3D and release 2D drawings and specifications using CATIA and Microsoft Office.
  • Share development progress with team members and management to confirm direction and completion of tasks.
  • Complete all required training and share best practices with peers.
  • Study technical trends and new technologies to propose innovative solutions and efficient processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
  • Co-op experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) or closely related software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
