About the position

The SharePoint Administrator at Western University of Health Sciences is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Microsoft Online SharePoint environment (M365). This role involves close collaboration with IT teams and end users to ensure effective use of SharePoint features and functionalities, while also providing user support and training. The position requires a strong understanding of SharePoint administration, project management, and communication skills to facilitate user needs and enhance the SharePoint experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, configuration, and design of functional requirements for SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
  • Maintain branding and customization of SharePoint Online sites to align with company standards.
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of the SharePoint Online environment, including maintenance, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor system health, usage, and overall performance of SharePoint Online services.
  • Oversee and assign user permissions and access management, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding SharePoint configuration, security, and operation.
  • Implement and maintain workflows using Power Automate for process automation.
  • Create and maintain custom SharePoint forms using Power Apps.
  • Modify InfoPath forms and SharePoint Designer workflows as requested.
  • Resolve user tickets and perform ticket management using an ITSM application.
  • Train and support users on SharePoint features, functionality, and best practices.
  • Provide monthly analysis for reporting and analytic consumption of SharePoint usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the technology industry, specifically with SharePoint-related duties.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and Active Directory permission hierarchy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, PowerApps, and other Office 365 applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and possess strong analytical skills.
