About the position

The SharePoint and Power Apps Developer at COLSA Corporation will be responsible for delivering application development and support for NASA's enterprise business systems. The role involves collaborating on systems and solutions that support large portfolios across various business functions in a fast-paced SAFe agile development environment. The selected candidate will utilize their technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform applications, ensuring they meet customer requirements and improve business processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on technical expertise to design and implement Power Platform based solutions satisfying customer requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform applications including Power Apps, Power Automate, and PowerBI
• Advises on automating workflows and integrating requirements with existing capabilities
• Applies specialized knowledge of applications and systems to improve business systems processes
• Provides senior-level software development support
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software
• Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
• Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and presents to management
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages and testing tools
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements
• Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on the development team
• Participates in development of software user manuals and other user documentation
• Aids in process improvement activities and in development of procedures and policies
• Defines business values and technical solutions that would improve the business
• Works closely with stakeholders to define user requirements and ensure business systems meet objectives
• Supports changes made to the existing business systems environment
• Prepares project plans, identifies and resolves issues, and communicates project status
• Prepares testing, training, and security plans
• Educates users in the strategic use of the organization's IT and applications portfolio
• May lead projects and provide technical advice to business associates
• May provide work leadership to lower level employees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business or technical discipline
• Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience
• US Citizenship required; must be able to pass a NASA background investigation
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying workflow solutions using Microsoft Power Platforms (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate)

Nice-to-haves

• Software skills: Drupal, Wordpress, Ruby on Rails
• Demonstrated experience working on Agile projects using Agile/Scrum methodology
