About the position

The SharePoint Content Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the Department of Defense at MacDill AFB, FL, by designing, developing, and coordinating the implementation of SharePoint environments. This position involves ensuring the effective use of SharePoint technologies to enhance enterprise communications and collaboration, while also providing training and support to end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and coordinate the implementation and support of SharePoint environments.
  • Perform testing and quality assurance of SharePoint applications, workflows, and integration services.
  • Develop standards and best practices for SharePoint and Office 365 applications.
  • Document and implement standards, policies, and guidelines for SharePoint use.
  • Design and develop sites, pages, lists, views, and functions for the Intranet and other SharePoint sites.
  • Lead end-users and management in understanding and documenting functional business requirements and workflows.
  • Recommend improvements leveraging SharePoint technologies to solve challenges.
  • Develop plans to migrate existing electronic data and business practices to SharePoint.
  • Create new applications and dashboard solutions for the Intranet and other SharePoint sites.
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical staff to maintain a robust SharePoint environment.
  • Evaluate and recommend products and services to meet business needs.
  • Research and apply emerging IT trends in support of SharePoint solutions.
  • Prepare system documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
  • Train end-users on SharePoint.
  • Support the review and analysis of new requests for SharePoint services.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to solve complex problems and deploy solutions.
  • Ensure deployed solutions are designed with end-user experience in mind and adequately tested after updates.
  • Provide guidance during all phases of projects related to SharePoint development and maintenance.
  • Document SharePoint guides as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 6+ years of related experience in SharePoint administration or similar roles.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies and platforms, specifically SharePoint 2016/2019/Online.
