About the position

The SharePoint Knowledge/Content Manager will be responsible for developing and managing knowledge management (KM) programs at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This role focuses on leveraging technology to enhance performance and results-based management, ensuring that processes and services meet established objectives. The position involves web portal design and implementation, content management, and supporting business processes through SharePoint and other web technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in developing and using performance and results-based management for all GTMO Intelligence KM programs/requirements.
  • Transforming web portal services to leverage industry standard markup languages and relational scripts for data management.
  • Responsible for web portal design, development, and implementation across multiple classified and non-classified network domains.
  • Providing content and access control management for all J2 SharePoint portals and websites.
  • Supporting J2 business processes through SharePoint portals and other web-based technologies.
  • Posting, maintaining, and administering a variety of intelligence products.
  • Conducting current state assessments of the organization's readiness for knowledge management.
  • Conducting executive level training, interviews, and information sessions.
  • Supporting leadership in defining and establishing KM objectives and updating the KM implementation plan.

Requirements

  • Certified Knowledge Manager (eCKM) from KMI
  • 3+ years of experience managing content and disseminating intelligence products.
  • 3+ years of experience managing site collections in SharePoint.
  • 3+ years of experience in military data and organizational records management, customer service, process improvement, and project management.
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) and MOSS web parts integration.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Management related fields.
