About the position

The SharePoint System Specialist II at GM Financial is responsible for supporting the migration to Microsoft 365 and enhancing existing services. This role requires strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform, service configuration, and troubleshooting skills, particularly with Active Directory services. The specialist will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure successful migrations, maintain high customer satisfaction, and provide technical support during and after implementations.

Responsibilities

• Support organizations in migrating to Microsoft 365 and upgrading existing services.
• Provide hands-on implementation tasks and support for Microsoft 365 migrations.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing requirements, solution design, and execution of migrations.
• Manage user access, licensing changes, and Azure security group implementation.
• Develop and maintain O365 governance documentation with product owners and senior engineers.
• Provide first-tier and second-tier support for issue resolution.
• Maintain PowerShell scripts for managing the O365 environment.
• Design, develop, and implement applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Nintex.
• Document development processes, workflows, and project details accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in an IT environment, specifically with SharePoint implementation and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform and services, including Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Proven experience with Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps development.
• Familiarity with SQL, JavaScript, and C#.
• Experience with Agile development, Scrum, and Application Lifecycle Management.

Nice-to-haves
