About the position

As a SharePoint Web Designer at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions tailored to the unique requirements of our clients. In this position, you will gather and document business requirements, coordinate daily tasks, and maintain effective relationships with customers, end users, and team members. You will also be responsible for software testing and providing end-user training on SharePoint. Your expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, particularly versions 2010, 2013, and 2016, will be essential as you manage site administration, create custom content, manage permissions, and configure web parts. Additionally, you will utilize Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and OneNote, to integrate with SharePoint and other enterprise systems. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of Information Technology (IT), including basic business applications and relational database concepts. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously will be crucial, as will your self-motivation and initiative. Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative solutions as a SharePoint Web Designer.
  • Gather and document business requirements for software development.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and administration to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and end users.
  • Conduct software testing and provide end-user training on SharePoint.
  • Manage site administration and create custom content in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Configure web parts and manage permissions within SharePoint.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products to integrate with SharePoint and other enterprise systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
  • At least 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2010, 2013, and/or 2016.
  • Experience in site administration, creating custom content, managing permissions, and creating workflows in SharePoint.
  • 2-4 years of experience with technical writing and documentation.
  • Experience in training end users of software systems.
  • Experience with migration from one version of SharePoint to another is desired.
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology (IT) and relational database concepts.
