About the position

As a Shared Services Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of a leading global provider of comprehensive risk management solutions. This position is based in Springfield, OH, and is designed for individuals who are eager to grow, learn, and evolve in their careers. The role involves following standard procedural guidelines to perform various tasks that are essential to the smooth functioning of the shared services operations. You will be responsible for processing checks, handling documents, and managing communication with insurance carriers, both inbound and outbound. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as you will be working with sensitive information and ensuring compliance with client requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Following standard procedural guidelines for performing tasks
  • Performing logging checks, processing checks, processing documents, working CLEAR queues, and placing outbound calls to insurance carriers
  • Receiving inbound calls from insurance carriers
  • Providing assistance and backup as needed to meet client requirements and SLAs
  • Handling other duties/projects based on business needs
  • Working under immediate supervision
  • Researching items received via faxes, reports, tasks, correspondence, and refund/return checks
  • Making appropriate telephone calls to resolve issues
  • Following client's standard policies and procedures
  • Working efficiently in client and company proprietary applications
  • Demonstrating solid technical knowledge and quality performance
  • Meeting behavioral expectations: attendance, teamwork, and organizational contributions

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a shared services or operations role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High level of proficiency in using computer applications and systems
