Earl May Garden Center is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Garden Center Sales Associate for our location in Shawnee, Kansas. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with the potential for part-time associates to transition into full-time roles. The ideal candidate will embody a high energy level and maintain a positive attitude while engaging with customers in a retail environment. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and assist them in their gardening needs. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting products, and ensuring the garden center is well-stocked and organized. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills, particularly in a sales-driven environment. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is essential, as you will be handling various gardening supplies and plants. Additionally, the position requires flexibility in working hours and shifts, as the garden center operates on a variable schedule. While horticulture knowledge or landscape experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who shows a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
