Aerotek is seeking skilled aircraft sheet metal mechanics to join our team in Medford/Central Point, Oregon. The primary responsibility of the Structures Mechanic will be to perform heavy maintenance and refurbishment of heavy-lift military helicopters, specifically the CH-53E model. This role involves utilizing blueprints to execute repairs, which include riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, as well as installing structural components necessary for the repair of the USMC fleet helicopters. Additionally, the mechanic will work in the Pylon shop, where they will manufacture and repair pylons under contract with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This position requires a hands-on approach to metal cutting, bending, drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, and other metal forming and repair tasks, ensuring that all work meets the high standards expected in military aviation.
