About the position
Brookville Roadster is seeking an Entry-Level Sheet Metal Stamping Operator to join their team. The role involves operating a press to perform various metal shaping tasks while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual who enjoys challenges and is committed to exceeding customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
- Completes basic machine troubleshooting and corrective measures.
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
- Isolates non-conforming product.
- Cleans and lubricates machines and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Labels, tags, and moves product per specifications.
- Completes all paperwork as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude.
- Good attendance and ability to work successfully in team settings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read drawings and written instructions.
- Proficient in using precision measuring devices.
- Basic working knowledge of computer software, email, Excel, and internet.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements including Electrical Safety and Machine Guarding.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Visual skills for assessing equipment functionality.
- Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
