About the position

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) position at United Airlines is a full-time role within the Technical Operations team, responsible for the service and maintenance of aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe, and Components. This role requires a valid Airframe & Powerplant certification and involves a variety of tasks including inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and routine maintenance. The position emphasizes strong mechanical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and maintenance for aircraft systems, Powerplant, Airframe, and Components.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems as needed.
• Replace parts and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with co-workers to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/Educational Equivalent
• FAA A&P License
• Valid US Drivers License
• Computer literacy
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to train
• Ability to access elevated aircraft areas via ladders and lift equipment
• Strength to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
