About the position

As a Shift Leader at Border Foods, you will play a crucial role in upholding the company's core values while managing the daily operations of the restaurant. Responsibilities

• Reinforce Border Foods CORE values including Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment.
• Guide team members to complete assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner.
• Schedule and deploy the team effectively to meet operational needs.
• Monitor team performance and hold members accountable for standards and expectations.
• Ensure a quality customer experience by driving fast and friendly service.
• Maintain point of sale system and report any system failures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and local laws.
• Create unity within the team and resolve employee issues in a timely manner.
• Motivate and support the team through active listening and effective communication.
• Handle customer complaints with a sincere approach to find effective solutions.
• Develop short-term and long-term strategies for restaurant success.
• Utilize and interpret P&L to make financial adjustments for profit delivery.
• Source, hire, and develop excellent team members, conducting new hire orientation and training plans.
• Minimize loss through adherence to cash handling policies and training compliance.
• Provide learning and development opportunities for all team members.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
